lynn kk williams
custom formal wear for the all of the celebrations in your life
Taking after her grandmother, a professional seamstress, Lynn started sewing in high school. She will still wear her Nana's eyeglasses and use her trusted treadle sewing machine for inspiration.
While pursuing her career as a sign language interpreter for the performing arts, and raising her family, she kept her hand in sewing by taking on passion projects that spoke to her, mostly focusing on formal wear. The time spent both on and behind stage led to more involvement in costume design. Lynn became fascinated by the beauty of movement. She studied fabrics and how they flowed while listening to feedback from dancers as she mastered the techniques for tutu construction and an understanding of dance presentation.
As her career shifted from interpreting to costume creation, Lynn served as the Costume Mistress to Danse Etoile Ballet, working with Marie-jose Payannet to create beautiful looks for amazing story ballets. This was a wonderful time of growth and creative expression.
Word of Lynn's work spread, and she found herself far busier than expected, finally making the decision to follow her passion by dedicating herself to design and creation full time, focusing on bridal and formal wear.
