In this dramatic redesign, The 1980s poofiness is redone as a fitted pantsuit with sweetheart neckline and high wasted pants. The peplum blazer is made from sequined lace found at a local fabric store.

This beauty from the early 1990s has been reimagined as a sweet quinceanera formal.

It has been dyed in subtle shades of cantaloupe and updated by replacing the skirt with a lighter layered look that shifts colors with movement. Redesigning the sleeves with a little lacy cap, and reducing the use of bows allows for a new look while keeping the original theme.

Every piece of lace was saved and reused to cover the new straps. Each part of this gown was up-cycled from the original, adding no new materials.
